As a general rule, the culture of small, rural towns values tradition, status quo, and keeping things the way they’ve always been. Small towns often resist change.
So when a pastor is called to lead a small, rural church through change it can feel dangerous and risky. But I contend that sometimes risk is not only a good thing, but a God thing!
