Does God Care How I Vote?

I understand that by now, most of us have grown weary of yet another season of “politics as usual” leading up to the November 6th elections, and could probably care less about what one candidate thinks, says, or believes versus the other candidate.  But before you completely check out of the process I’d like to challenge you to think about the following question:

DOES GOD CARE HOW I VOTE?

Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.”

I believe that God DOES care about the kind of men and women we elect to serve at all levels of our nations government!  Not all ideas are equal.  Not all world views are the same.  I would suggest that America is divided like no other time in her history between two very different and opposing world views.  And I also believe that if God’s people choose to stay comfortable and apathetic and sit out yet another election, America as we’ve known it may be unrecognizable in another 4 years!

As a pastor I am challenging everyone who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ to understand how the truth of God’s Word (the Bible) should shape our world view.  Ask yourself, “What do I believe, and how does that line up with what God’s Word says?”  If you’d like to see a very clear breakdown of the two opposing world views that we must choose between in this upcoming election, click HERE.

I’m also challenging Christians to get educated on every candidate and ballot issue that you will have an opportunity to vote on!  If you’d like to see a Values Voter Guide highlighting some major differences between the Presidential candidates, click HERE.

If you need to register to vote, click HERE.

Christians, this is not a time to be apathetic and believe the lies that “my vote doesn’t count” and “all politicians are the same” and “it doesn’t matter who wins.”  America needs God’s people to engage in the process and take our Biblical values to the polls on November 6th!
